Here’s how to set up the new Xerox printer on your device, step number 5 being the most critical.
- Make sure your Windows 11 computer is connected to the same network as the new Xerox printer. You can check this by looking at the Wi-Fi or network icon in the taskbar at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Open the document or file that you want to print. This can be a Word document, PDF, or any other file that you normally print.
- Click on the "File" menu located at the top-left corner of the program you are using to open the document. It could be Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader, or any other program that supports printing.
- From the dropdown menu that appears, select the "Print" option. It usually has a printer icon next to it. A print dialog box will open, showing various print settings.
- Click “Add Printer” and allow the dialog to search the network for the new Xerox printer. Once selected for the first time, the software will install automatically.
- Once you have selected the Xerox printer, you can customize the print settings if needed. You may want to change the number of copies, paper size, or print quality. These options are usually found in the print dialog box, but they may vary depending on the program you are using.
- After reviewing the print settings, click on the "Print" button located at the bottom-right corner of the print dialog box. Your computer will send the print job to the Xerox printer.
- Wait for the Xerox printer to process the print job. Depending on the size of the document and the printer's speed, it may take a few moments for the printer to start printing.
- Once the Xerox printer starts printing, you can check the printer's control panel or display to monitor the progress. The printer will usually display a message indicating that it is printing.
- When the printing is complete, you can collect your printed document from the output tray of the Xerox printer. The output tray is usually located on the top or front of the printer, depending on the model.
